Shots Fired – A married couple tries to feel young again with two tequila shots. It goes about as well as you’d expect. Starring Baily Hopkins, Kunal Dudhekar, and Natalia Dominguez.
From Pilot to Series
Rob and Emily Try Adulting is a 5-part comedy series about a newly married couple navigating adulthood and slowly learning that being grown up doesn’t come with instructions.
If Shots Fired made you laugh, we’d love your support. It’s the first episode of the series, and with all five scripts complete, we’re raising $50,000 by July 31 to film Episodes 2 through 5 this August. Help us turn one episode into a full season.
Your donation is tax-deductible because we’re fiscally sponsored by Fractured Atlas, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization. That means your support can lower your taxable income, so be sure to share the good news with your accountant.
Director’s Note
I’ve been making films for over 15 years and this series feels closer to my voice than anything I’ve made before. It’s about two people trying to build a life together while making mistakes, stumbling through adulthood, and learning that growing up is really about growing together. We know Rob and Emily because, in a lot of ways, we are them. It’s the most personal comedy I’ve made, and I’m excited to make the rest of it with you.

What Makes This Possible
We need the resources to film the remaining four episodes. Every contribution goes directly toward production, post-production, festival submissions, and distribution.
Once the season is complete, we’ll take Rob & Emily to festivals and pursue distribution across streaming platforms, vertical apps like ReelShort and DramaBox, and comedy channels like Dropout and Short of the Week. We’re also exploring licensing and distribution partnerships. The goal is simple: get Rob & Emily in front of as many people as possible.
